Animatic Storyboard: Light Up The Background

I decided to create an animatic storyboard for my music video, using the sketches I drew for my regular storyboard, but setting them to music instead.
This also contains the proper version of the song, as can be found on their EP, which is of higher quality than the versions I have used in my storyboard of ideas and other media.

  1. Fantastic. how useful has this been in terms of planning timings etc?

  2. This tool has been useful in helping me in the following ways:
    - See how certain shots look compared to one another as there is a variety of different shot types
    - Give me an idea of how the cuts and the music flow together
    - It has been very helpful during the editing process, where it has helped me to piece the story together
    - Making this helped me to identify errors in my paper storyboard - for instance, timings often didn't make sense and some of my proposed shots had overlapped whilst others did not join together.

However, the storyboard has not been very helpful in the sense that it may have been more useful to include the code I had on my paper storyboard - which detailed the location and also showed the times that I had written.
